How to Configure Time Matters with Caller ID Software

Perform the following steps to configure Time Matters for use with Mountain Systems Caller ID software.

  1. Go to System Preferences
  2. Go to the DDE tab
  3. Select the Enable DDE button under incoming calls
  4. Press the Configure DDE Options button
  5. Select  Time Matters as the DDE program
  6. Move to the Incoming Calls tab
  7. Press the Open Examples button
  8. Select the TimeMatters4.x.DDE file from the MSI Caller ID software directory
  9. Move to the Outgoing Calls tab
  10. Press the Open Examples button
  11. Select the TimeMatters4.x.DDE file from the MSI Caller ID software directory
  12. Press the OK button
  13. Press the OK button in System Preferences

Note: The current 6.0 versions of CallAudit software do not require steps 6-11, as this process is now automatic.

This will configure the program to work with Time Matters.  You will also need to make the following changes inside Time Matters to complete the configuration.

  1. File Menu
  2. Program Setup
  3. User Level tab
  4. Phone sub-tab (see example image below)
  5. Check “Activate Incoming call processing”
  6. Press Setup button and select options as desired (see image below).
  7. Click OK to save
  8. Test with CallAudit

If you make changes from these choices, be sure Time Matters still pulls up the contact data you want.
